Mid-Year Check In!

Can you believe 2020 is halfway over!? Yes, we made it! Now, it is time to take a look back at those goals we created at the beginning of this year. If you didn’t create any, that’s okay too! You now have the opportunity to take a moment to reflect on where you were earlier this year, where you are now, and where you want to go.

Many of us may have never pictured ourselves to be in the position we are now. COVID-19 has impacted some of us by losing our job, experiencing hardship in our businesses, or even stress with homeschooling the kids. I’m not saying these situations are easy, but this midyear point is a chance to refocus on what we can control - the plan ahead. Here are a couple of things you can do at your goal check:

Review Written Goals

Do you need to adjust them to let them be realistic, or are they irrelevant to the current situation? Right now times are tough, so if you need to adjust that is 100% okay just remember to set a SMART goal (Simple, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-Bound).

Check Your Progress

Are you on track to achieving your goal? Are there things you need to tidy up such as your budget? Seeing where you are gives you an end in sight. How much easier is it to stick to dumping debt when you know that you are halfway there?

Create a Vision Board

Don’t let your goal list end up buried on the shelf. Create a board (of any sort) to allow you to visualize your goals. For example, if my goal is go on my dream vacation next year, I would either post a picture of my dream location, a magazine cutout, or even draw myself relaxing on the beach.

My challenge for you is to choose 1 action item from the list to complete this week. You are stronger than what 2020 has given to us, so let's get back in control. If you need some motivation, join us on Instagram or Facebook as I give you tips and tricks to tackle your goals.
