I saw Dave Ramsey and the Ramsey Personalities LIVE!
Dave Ramsey, Chris, and I-2020 Ramsey Influencer Conference
Friday of last week I was asked, “So what will you take away from this experience?” Honestly, I didn’t have an answer right then because there was so much to chew on. Here’s why…
Wednesday through Friday of last week I attended a Ramsey Influencer Conference. This is an invitation-only event for influencers who are making an impact on people in a variety of spaces. There were coaches, therapists, comedians, pastors, CPAs, counselors, writers, broadcasters, and so many more. We sat in on sessions related to speaking, branding, platforms, publicity, etc. Not only were the presenters amazing, but I learned so much from the influencers as well.
All 60 of us sat and listened intently to Dave Ramsey share his perspective on the privilege and burden we all share as we help others. Dave Ramsey said, “You will quit if your WHY is not big enough.” That couldn’t be more true. Several times during my 15 years in business, I’ve questioned if I wanted to continue. Yep! You read that right. I’ve had a rough client session that gave me pause. Or someone came along and offered an opportunity that looked interesting for more money. Or the backend work that it takes to remain self-employed pushed me over the edge of exhaustion. But, each time God brought me back to my big WHY and reassured me that although this journey isn’t easy all the time it IS in fact worth all of the effort.

One of the new Ramsey Personalities, Dr. John Delony spoke directly to my heart on the last day. His specialty is mental health. He is on mission to reduce worry, stress, and the anxiety we all face. He is needed so much right now in this world we live in today. He said, “Winning is the fruit of a well-watered life.” That was so GOOD! If we plant seeds of patience, use our gifts to the best of our abilities, AND surround ourselves with people who matter then and only then are we winning. Life can bring you many measures of success that we can latch on to but none is as telling as taking good care of ourselves as we care for others. We are building the sidewalks that our children will be walking on and it must be a sure foundation! That was a powerful moment to end an incredible conference. I’m so thankful to have been a part of it.
Just know that as I attend these events and meet these amazing people you are the first to know. I eagerly await those moments that I can share with my community all that I’m learning. Being a part of a larger community where we share ideas and know that we aren’t alone reinvigorates me and my business. I am a better coach today because of the conferences I’ve attended in the past and relationships I’ve developed over time. Let’s go to this next level together. If your finances aren’t ready for the next level, I can help. Set up a time to chat with me. You don’t have to do this alone.
